Jibber do you have any rust problems? Or are you lucky enough that Switzerland is advanced enough to use something else instead of salt to prevent icy roads (Italians use a white liquid and it's been used on Slovenian motorways too lately. But on smaller, local roads they still use sand and salt  Undecided )

I don't have any rust on my car. Because of two things.

First: I don't drive this car during the winter (It would be a shame...).  I just took it back from the garage and there was no snow/salt on the road.

2nd: Porsche uses "Zink" (german word, i don't know the english term...) to seal the bodies of their cars. So you hardly find/get rust, even if you drive one of their cars on "salty" winterroads for years. Wink

But finally, a 15 year old car, and not one inch of rust! Smiley 8)

PS: Switzerland is still using salt... Wink

True about the not driving in the winter. But when i'll have my own car, it'll be a mean of transport, not a project. I think it's zync or smt like that Smiley It's similar in most languages (cink in slovene)

It is zinc, or galvanized steel (which uses zinc, I thinc ) Grin

A friend imported a Canadian F100 ford pickup and the chassis was fully galvanised (snow-related).

I agree, most cars use zinc or something simillar these days. But back in 1970 when porsche started to use zinc on all of their cars, it wasn't that popular... i zink... Wink Grin

Can't say this enough Jonas, your 944's hothothot, and you know how to keep it in great shape!
I always loved the 944 since the day I saw one the first time.

Lol vendetta. And Sam, you're right. I don't like Porsches very much, don't know why, the 911 just seems like a car that every a little more welthy person has to have. But this 944 is really nice!

EDIT: I just saw the licence plate. AG*405151 Grin

Does anyone see any resemblance between the GTT and the 944?
