Sweet MX!
Mind sharing the specs on it? With a car that light, running a bit low on power won't be that much of an problem.

It's funny to see you're driving a light car in real life, since I will always remember you as the LX4 drifter.

I'm still driving the Falcon. I've replaced almost everything except the motor and the gearbox, both of which are doing just fine at this stage. Old school Cobra rims is about as fancy as this old dog gets. Tongue

I don't mind at all. It's a pretty basic build still.

It's a 1990 with a 1.6 motor. I purchased it built from a guy in California, he was a Porsche engineer out of Huntington Beach. Did a few things but had most of the work done by XS engineering. Kinda weird since he did a full built motor but only put about 6psi on the motor with a very basic Greddy turbo kit.

I purchased it like that, super basic with no intercooler just the bare bones greddy and a built and balanced motor. I ended up getting a little bit more boost, tuning it a bit on the dyno at a local shop, and purchased tein flex. I'm still only pushing about 180hp I bet, but it works. I'd like to get it up to 250hp but if it doesn't feel how I want it to I will go with a different motor. Knuckles are cut and welded, suspension is Tein Flex Monotube, Welded 1.6 diff, everything is still pretty stock on the vehicle just a couple things have been focused on. Link standalone ECU is being used currently, 440cc R/C injectors, Greddy turbo kit has been upgraded slightly with a different manifold and downpipe. I think that's most of what has been done. Cage, seat, harnesses, that sort of thing.

Yep, I've always liked the idea of using less and getting more out of it. A light car needs less power, less power is usually more reliable, it just works for me. It was either miata or corolla, but corollas typically end up being rusted to all hell and working on old cars just sucks. On the other hand miatas are kept by old men thinking they will be concours legends or something, so finding them in great condition garage kept all their lives is super easy.

How do you know it will have slight oversteer?

You need to do a fair bit of math do find that out, like I did:

MS Excel weight redistribution calc

Car will oversteer when rear is lighter when cornering

I got a result of 55% which means good balance, if you get 70% it oversteer and 30% means understeer Tongue

My mighty 316i touring. Had this car for 2 years now. Even tho it's a bit underpowered, it's still very much fun to drive around (and 'scare' people on the autobahn).
Had 171' km on the clock when I bought it, now it's 198'.

If i would ever get an E36, it would definately be the touring version.
So much more presence.
After seeing too many Sedans, Coupes or Cabrio's i can't see myself driving one.

Seems mint and looks like this has still had its fair share of aftermarket parts.  Wink

Here's some lfs style action. We performed a demo at a local track recently which pretty much meant the 5 of us hit the track for 2 hours doing whatever we want. Ripping up the bank, tapping each other's doors, it was a crazy good time.

On this run Brandon and I turned to each other just before we started to tell the other that our tires were dead. We decided to give it one more go. A mix of bad things happened, I had no grip, it just flipped around, he went shallow at the wrong moment to get on my door and by then it was too late to really stop. It's getting fixed right now, his whole rear end was tweaked and my car was crunched on the door jam.

Long time since I've been on here.

Doesnt get any more Australian than rocking a ute Wink

2007 Holden Commodore SV6 ute, puts out about 196kw at the fly wheel quoted by Holden...

...

...

As of last weekend it's off the road due to a streched timing chain (Good ol' LY7s) but I've fitted Pedders XA coilovers, pedders sports ryder strut brace and sway bars. Handles quite nicely considering theres no weight in the rear. Has an exhaust and other do dads too

Spends most of its time as a work car for me but on the weekends it likes to see the mountains (Which is where I streched the timing chain)

Not bad cars at all, brother has the same model, just had a new diff put in and had the engine rebuilt. It's pretty solid.
