Well, I figure since this is where this began might as well post it here. Years ago I used to rock this on the LX4, it just sort of happened on the racecar. A ratty trackbeast of a paint job, but I like it for its brutality.

So it's almost exactly one year since I last posted in this topic and I have sad news: my good old E36 is no more
For 3 years it provided me with nice driving experience.

On the other hand this meant I had to get another car
And this time I went for something with a lot less milage on it ... exactly had 2507 km on the clock when I bought it 3 days ago. And here it is:

This car is so much fun to drive and I'm still only driving it rather carefully. I'll try my best to keep it in good shape so it can serve me for many years Smiley

Ooh, the envy.

Test drove the GT86 when we had it in the dealership back home, was very pleased with it.

Too bad the price for that baby was 48k€..

--------------------------------------------------

On the other hand, started college. No car anymore.

Now im driving THIS.

Looks like everyone here has cool rides!  Grin

Stucky, awesome car. Smiley Cobalt Blue, a dream daily driver. Smiley I want to own one some day too!

Meanwhile, I'm using ford focus mk1 as a daily drive (thinking of selling it and changing to e36 or e46), and building s13 race/street/drift car. I've bought it with knocking engine and smoking turbo. It lasted for a while, but finally died (rod knock), so I've had to swap another ca18det. Had a first test last weekend:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvm-3XRtfko (road is closed)

T28 @ 0.5 bar boost. I was very careful and experimenting a lot. Water pump broke before I even had a chance to finish first set of tires. It's really fun to drive, and once I learn how to drive it properly, it will be awesome. Smiley

Some pics, showing how the car changed over the time:

This is a great thread. To be able to see what other LFS drifters drive/race/drift in real life is really fun. Sadly though, seeing your cars and especially your video kamkor makes me badly miss my old S14a...

I've got two cars at the moment. One is a BMW e34 530 '94 with a (small) V8 and a manual gearbox.

...

The plan was to switch to a 4 litre engine, fit coilovers etc but I don't have a garage nor the economy to do it at the moment so I'm going to try and sell the car now.

I've bought another car to have as a daily, a BMW e39 530 Touring '01. Automatic gearbox, almost all extras (leather and electric seats, parking sensors, sunroof, double insulating windows etc). A really nice car to drive Smiley

...

I do however get the adrenaline going on two wheels instead of four. Earlier this year I bought myself a new KTM 690 SMC R:

...

It's normally driven like this: http://youtu.be/0_exdlBjF9M

It's back at the dealer/repair shop now though, since this happened: http://youtu.be/LyEXOx7KahA

Here's a little bonus clip while talking about bikes, when I tried a friend of mines: http://youtu.be/vu0pR5D8w9k
Honda CBR1000RR with 170 whp. It's seriously fast! Quite a special feeling seeing 299 km/h at the speedo when the rev counter just keeps increasing Wink

Nice rides Bosse. Smiley I remember your s14a, it was great, why did you sell it?

p.s.: That's a long wheelie. Cheesy And also about the crash video, shows why I will probably never buy a motorbike. :/

Is there already a dent in the fender where you hit in the video?

Looks like he has cut people off before..

The S14a was indeed great, when it worked.. Tongue It broke down for me a lot which according to everyone was due to bad luck so got quite tired of spending money on it. Was really fun sliding around in it though, especially when I got the coilovers fitted. Should've gotten another differential as well but then I sold it.

If there's someone who missed it earlier in this thread:

Pictures/info: http://www.garaget.org/?car=95574

My runs at a local drifting event (had some boost problem in the first day/couple of runs): http://youtu.be/B-eBRUcOPkg

Having fun on the streets: http://youtu.be/7iB6Vz-UfLA

Yeah, I get your point (now atleast Tongue). It's not much needed for it to go seriously wrong. I was even keeping the speed limit etc (which I obviously usually don't).
The car driver should've seen me though as I wasn't driving too fast or anything. She shouldn't have made that manouver to the right at all (to go into the parking garage to the left) and she definitely should've indicated where she was going, then I would've slowed down instead.

haha yeah I noticed that as well.

I'm really glad I caught it on camera too. There were no problems with the insurance companies regarding whose fault it was Smiley
Won't be riding without the GoPro in the future. Too bad the battery life isn't what you'd call great, and my 16 GB memory card is also too small so I'm going to get a 32 GB card and an extra battery as well. It won't last forever but it's better than today atleast. It would really suck not capturing moments like these...

Edit: I've got two more videos of me on the bike if you'd like to see more (captured with the old 1st gen GoPro though):
