The Logitech Drive Force Pro thread

Post all of your questions/comments/best prices on this wheel here. There is a new thread on it every week, so I figured why not make on where people can go and get referance for it. Smiley

For how to configure your wheel go here Diesel's Wheel Configuration Thread

And here are the Logitech Wingman Drivers for the DFP

A small list of improvements you can do to your DFP:  Cheesy

Kolthar's digital clutch pedal: http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=221565

Get a stiffer brake pedal, and get the better pots: http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=217587

Lengthen your steering column: http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=189753

And one of the most fundamental things: Change the tilt angle of your whole wheelbase if possible, so that it doesn't have as much of an angle upwards. It's a bit tricky to solve with a normal desk, where most racers have it, but it makes a world of difference.  Cheesy

hey, chinese new years just passed and i have some cash so im thinking about spending it on a DFP. i was wondering if anyone can list some of i guess the most common problems/complaints with the DFP and LFS, and if there are any fixes/such.
just want to be prepared when i get my DFP, dont want to buy it and take a few hours to set it up with LFS.
also didnt really feel like traveling aroudnt he forums looking at every DFP problem thread and what happened. ^^

Only real problem would be the crap pedals. If you have a wheel at the moment, then use those pedals as clutch until the Logitech ones break (Mine lasted a year or so) then use the old ones for gas+brake.

Other then that, no complaints...

wooot i just went out and bought my brand new DFP and it feels greattttt compared to my BROKEN/loose no FF driving force (GT3 wheel) but yea drifting is near impossible right now but im still working at it i wont give up! (though grip racing has become a lot easier and fun since i never grip raced before)

still fiddleing around with settings though. jsut wanted to know wat did the ingame "force strength" do? whenever i put it higher it makes the wheel amazingly tough to turn (feels like im trying to force it against the motor ) but gets loose now and then like it has its own mind like when it wants the wheel centered it moves kinda freely then lots of force again. so i just leave it at around 1-5% so it doesnt bother me. but i still wanted to know what it does.

I recommend setting the return spring to 0 and then turning it off.
