It's supposed to be placed so it's viewable from a mirror. Tongue

Haha, cam perspective distorts the position. It's only placed a bit too high for comfortable reach.

I've got the shifter like you, Toni. Bit lower tho, so it's more realistic that way.

To all g25ers, if you have the opportunity to put the shifter lower than the wheel, do it. Your right/left arm will thank you lol.

My g25 has suffered fatal damage in may 2008. One way wheel turned very "CLAKCLACKCLACK" like. Making it super hard to drift or even just drive.

I decided to force repair it by drifting with max ffb and it worked. 1 month later in june/july it happend again and full ffb fix didn't work. Tongue

I tried the wheel again in october 2008 to have facts for warranty report and it was still same. Unfortunately i didn't do the warranty then. Recently I thought it's about time to do this damn warranty. I checked wheel again to note exactly what's wrong.

Now to the intresting part. After couple of laps of drifting fz5 in south city, the wheel started shaking a lot during every little turn of steering wheel. The ffb strenght was really huge. It really was a big impact, I instatly let off the throttle and spun the car. If I can compare it to something then the feel was like engine blow by Takumi in initial d stage 2. After the car stopped it still has been making incredible shake effect during every little turn of the wheel.

After a short while I felt some smoke - I thought I imagined it. Then I saw smoke - I thought I Imagined it. But no, I soon realised that i smoked my g25.

Afterwards the ffb wouldn't work at all again (shifter LED was blinking only) and wheel was making big dfp-alike resistance while turning.

Soon I will be send a brand new G25, which I hope will be the new version with quiet shifter. Or maybe even a newer one - It's been quite a while since wheel was released after all.

If I feel the wheel, pedals or shifter has been improved I will make another post.

By the way:

If he is planning to simulate, let's say drifting e30 then 1080 is pretty realistic setting Tongue

Just a correction. Since I actually have an e30 now. It doesn't just have 1080 degrees of steering, it has about 1440! Double of what most drifters use when drifting with g25. Who says 720 degree is a lot?  Grin

Got my second wheel. After my illegally hard pressure towards G25 wheel, one of my ffb motors simply burnt.
Second G25 is running pretty stable, however after my last FutureShop visit, prices rocked up high!
*New price* after tax, $400
Incredible change after the older G25 versions which were only $320 with tax.  Undecided

Hi all.
Ive been forced to use sequential with my H-pad because some of my gears are not staying in. What i mean by this is that the mechanical side of engaging gears is working fine, but the electronics are not engaging properly. So i would change into 3rd, "click" yep its in, but then suddenly ingame it would flick into neutral. Or 2nd and it would flick into N or 4th.

Its out of warranty obviously and i have read a few things about dodgy soldering that can be redone to fix the problem. This is easy for me to do but just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and has pulled apart there shifter to fix it.

Cheers,
Michael
