Modem conflicting with wheel
Jun 9th, 2008 at 2:47pm

Unfortunatly some time ago my old modem packed a sad so had to replace with a newer model supplied by my ISP provider (DSL-G604T), but the weird thing is everytime I try to use my wheel the connection cuts out.

Can use the wheel fine in single player, but not online. Can spectate on servers and drive using keyboard no problems, but as soon as I try with the wheel and drive out of pits I get d/c.

Is it possible the signal somehow conflicts with the modem? Already tried downloading another LFS client and still no luck.

Any ideas?

Is the modem plugged in via USB?

negative, modem itself has 3 outlets...one for adsl line, power and WLAN line, looks similar to phone jack connector which connects to the back of the PC, but the connection location is right next to the USB ones.

Ethernet, I can't see how it would conflict with USB... Tried updating the firmware in the modem?
