Kunos announced yesterday, when the world was about to end, that they now have an official Ferrari license!

Promo/teaser video: http://youtu.be/QDUZ5RZeh-o

I think it looks and sounds great! Some sliding being done in the 458 Italia as well Smiley

I'm now 100% ready for this game I think, as I've upgraded my computer Smiley

I really hope that this will be as good as I think it can be...

The Assetto Corsa technology preview has been released and is available for every netKar Pro owner. At the moment they are selling netKar Pro on the official web page (http://www.netkar-pro.com/) for only €4.99.
More information about the tech preview and download: http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/assetto-corsa-technology-preview-rel...

They also want people to vote for them in order go get the game on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=128612208
I believe this would really spread the game to the masses and increase their sales significally.

I just drove a couple of laps in the TP and my first impressions are: Shocked
Even though I have just driven a couple of laps, I don't think I'm overreacting when I say that this might already be the best simulator there is. In my opinion it feels and looks great!

I just can't wait for when there will be mods like Power and Glory (or similar), drifting cars/tracks etc.

They also announced, along with the Steam news, a new car which look amazing:

Loving it so far. Having run the GT-R on the same AD07 Neovas as the Lotus in AC, I can confirm the tire model is very accurate indeed. Managed to instantly drive on the limit during the very first lap in AC! If that's not a sign of great physics and tires, I don't know what is. Unless Scavier have a huge surprise pack coming with S3, they might aswell call it a day with LFS, sadly.

Aww man, too bad my wheel is too outdated to enjoy any of this. :/

Sure looks promising, but i think i'll take the backseat on this and just watch how things progress.

It's not too bad, I drove about fifteen laps. Gradually turning off the assists. I'll give it another go tomorrow. I had trouble getting it to oversteer.

The semislicks really require you to go hard on the car to start the slide (was the same thing with them IRL, even with some power under the hood), but the nice thing is... just like with LFS you can always catch the slide, unlike in iRental or ISI sims. I want more tracks! Cheesy

NetKar Pro is on special for a few days. If you get that you can use your code to also unlock the Assetto Corsa demo. It cost me less than seven dollars. It's about Five Euro.

I still think it lacks a little something LFS has, but it IS very raceable. Also it looks like you can set tyre wear to varying levels including OFF. Tyre wear off is useful for drift comps and demos. I think LFS drifting took a bit of a punch in the face when forced tyre wear came in.

Yeah, it's only five euros and these guys are indie devs for a niche market, you can atleast support them that much. If not, well there might be a free demo in the future.

Anyway, all simracers should have NKP in their catalog, the Cobra replica is worth a run at nordschleife.
